Joe Jesse Sanchez is a lifelong educator and former Alamo Colleges Trustee
with more than 45 years of experience serving students and families across
San Antonio.
He began his education career as a science teacher before becoming a principal, assistant superintendent, and later a leader in juvenile justice education programs. Throughout his career, Joe has focused on improving student outcomes, supporting educators, and strengthening public institutions.
Joe also served as an adjunct professor teaching graduate-level courses in educational administration, helping prepare the next generation of school leaders.
A proud graduate of San Antonio College, Joe understands firsthand the importance of accessible, high-quality education.
He is running to ensure the Alamo Colleges continue to expand opportunity while maintaining strong accountability to taxpayers.
